How does automatic renewal (subscription) work?

When paying with Stripe or PayPal, you can set up your NoraPix package as a subscription that renews on its own. In this article we explain in detail exactly how this process works, so you know precisely what to expect.

Set up once, enjoy lasting convenience

During setup you store your payment method once, either your credit card through Stripe or your PayPal account. From that point on you do not need to worry about anything else: at the end of every billing period, for example monthly, the regular package price is charged automatically and your website stays active without any interruption.

Coupon codes and automatic renewal

If you entered a coupon code when booking, the discount tied to it only applies to the very first billing period. Starting with the second charge, the regular, full package price is billed automatically. Keep that in mind when planning your budget.

What happens if a payment fails?

Should a charge ever fail, for instance because the stored card has expired, the respective payment provider automatically attempts the charge again several times over the following days. Your website typically remains active during this period. If you receive a notification about a failed payment, update your stored payment details as soon as possible to avoid any interruption.

Checking your subscription status

Under the Subscription menu item in your dashboard you can see all the important information at a glance: which payment provider is on file, when the next charge will happen, and how much it will be. This overview helps you keep track of your ongoing costs at all times.

Cancel at any time

A major advantage of automatic renewal: you are never locked into anything long term. You can end your subscription at any time, with no notice period required. You can find out exactly how in the next article.
